Christmas Home Tour 2020
Even though I started my indoor/outdoor Christmas decorating before Thanksgiving, I am finally (2nd week of December) finished! My biggest obstacle this year was finding my fresh greenery. Every year I get it at the same place, where they have the best prices! An armload of boughs is $5! You can’t beat that!
So, without further adieu, come along with me and let me take you on a Christmas home tour of my home. Let’s start with the outside….
Isn’t she lovely at night?
I LOVE decorating my window box. So many ways to get creative in this space. This year, I went with simple and primarily what I have on hand…Fresh boughs, birch tree branches I cut into smaller lengths, berries and Christmas picks I had tucked away in my storage room….
I snagged this large pot a number of years ago. When I no longer liked the burnt orange color that it was, I spray painted it black. Spray paint is my go to, when I’m ready to toss out the old. Looks like she could use another coat…
For last year’s Christmas home tour, I added a wreath to all of the windows and loved it! So, of course, I carried that over to this year too. Picked up these smaller live wreaths at Walmart for $10 each and later found them cheaper at Home Depot. Should have waited, but there was no way we were taking them down once we FINALLY got them all to stay. I left the hanging of them to my 14yo son, while I was out on the hunt for greenery. He, of course, did NOT read the instructions for the Command hooks and by the end of the day, three of them were on the ground. 🙁 So, back up the ladder my husband went to hang them correctly. Of course only one fell off these low windows…. (Affiliate Link Included)
A few years later, and I still love the simplicity of the sign above. You can find the tutorial on how easy it is to make here.
With the new front door we added last year, my front porch has become my favorite place to decorate….
The air is a bit nippy out here, so let’s head on inside…
Usually the fireplace has to compete with the sliding barn door for the focal point….
But at Christmas, it has some bigger competition…
This year, the Mr. propped our tree up with some 2×4’s. I love the height it gives it! And of course under that warm, cozy blanket turned tree skirt, you can’t even tell. (Affiliate Link Included)
And it wouldn’t be a Christmas tour without giving this little guy some attention. Little Charlie Brown tree, you’ll always be my favorite. Oh and you too, Teddy. 🙂
This year, after such a crazy year, I really just wanted cozy, but simple…
Hope you enjoyed this quick Christmas home tour!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
