The stockings are hung and the Christmas tree is fully decorated. Not sure why, but this year I was so ready to decorate our house into all things Christmas right after Halloween. I couldn’t get it all up fast enough. And I am loving that Thanksgiving came early, making the Christmas season that much longer.
Back in October, I started to look for Christmas tree flocking spray (not sure if that’s the technical term for it, but we’ll go with that) and I couldn’t find any that I really liked. Then I saw a fellow blogger post a picture of her tree from last year and I knew that was the one. One day later (yes, it was literally ONE day), my new flocked 9 foot Christmas tree arrived from Wayfair and I love it!!
A few years ago, we got the deal of the century on a Christmas tree and ornaments from Menards. The tree now sits down in our storage room (we’ll do something with it eventually). But the ornaments get used every year. I love that there is such a variety of ornaments. Every year we change it up and use different ones. This year we went with more earth tones…
While I am loving our new tree, my Charlie Brown Christmas tree will always be my favorite…
Such a cute little tree.
The fireplace and mantle is simple and cozy warm…
The stockings tie in well with my new pillows from HomeGoods…
Although I love the look of the dining room table, let’s be honest–moving all of those trees to eat dinner each night, can be a real pain in the booty. One of these years I’ll learn to do scale it down a bit….but I do love the look…
And the sideboard next to the dining room table…
Went a little crazy with Christmas trees this year. Love these little guys…
And one more little corner of the dining room…
I tend to primarily focus on the family room, dining room and foyer for my Christmas decor. But this year I did add a little to my new mudroom. Like I said, I went a little overboard on Christmas trees this year….
Of course, there was that year I couldn’t stop at one Christmas tree…(sorry for the picture quality–old picture)
Maybe I just have a thing for Christmas trees. 🙂
Until next time,
Happy Building Friends!!
