Going a little off script today. Thought I would have some fun and share 9 things I’m loving lately!

I get a little more personal like this in my email. I would love to have you join the community over there. If you like the content and want more interior design/DIY inspiration, be sure to subscribe at the end of this post. 🙂

1. Becoming a “Nonna”

My husband and I became grandparents in April!! Wow! I’ve heard all of the hype about how amazing it is, but I never fully grasped it until now. We are over the moon in love with this little guy! He is just the most precious little thing.

Cute little baby boy.

The only downside is that we live so far away. My son and his (soon-to-be wife), and now our sweet little Myles Chase, live up in Minneapolis. About 10 hours away from us.

We spent nearly a week up there visiting them shortly after he was born. I was so sad to have to leave when that time came. Now, I’m checking my calendar often, seeing when we can get up there again.

They’ll be coming here 4th of July weekend, but I don’t think I can wait that long. Thankful for FaceTime and lots of pictures.

But that’s not all! We have another little grandchild coming soon! Our 2nd oldest son and his wife are expecting in June. Thankfully, they live right here, close by. So, we’ll get to spend lots of time with this new precious little lady….Blakelyn Nicole. 🙂 We can’t wait to meet her!

2. Time on the golf course

Am I a golfer? Hahaha! No. My dad would have loved for me to take up golf. But I just never took an interest in it. However, I love to watch my boys play.

As we close out my second youngest son’s senior year, we are soaking up his last year of golf. Taking an interest in golf when he was just a wee little thing, he has played all 4 of his high school years. I’m going to be sad to see it come to an end.

Man playing golf.

He’s pretty good and so fun to watch! When it’s not raining, windy or cold, (haha!) I love to be out there on the course watching him compete. Spring sports can be yucky in northern Indiana. 🙁 We power through the not so beautiful days, but they can be brutal at times.

3. Maelove Luxury Skincare

My mom stressed, all through my teenage years, how important it is to wash your face EVERY night. For this reason, no matter how exhausted I may be at the end of the day, I NEVER go without washing my face.

Taking care of my skin has always been so very important to me. So, when Maelove asked me to try out their luxury line of skincare products, I did my research into their product, and then jumped on the opportunity. Reading through the reviews people rave over this skincare line.

Skincare products.

As I’m aging, I’m noticing a few lines on my face that weren’t there before. The hydro relief cream is one of their new peptide products getting restocked soon. This product is all about combatting the changes that come with aging skin.

Since using their product for over a month now, I’m noticing my skin feels much smoother. This is especially thanks to The Glow Maker. Wow! Putting this serum on my face every morning and evening is like a spa treatment in itself. Silky smooth skin every time.

After using Maelove products for about a month now, I’ve noticed a difference in some of my laugh lines too. They appear to be fainter.

So, needless to say, I am loving this product!

4. The New Menopause

Ok, before you X out of this post, because you’re young and menopause seems like an eternity away. Wait! If you are a woman (no matter what age) you are going to want to read this book–The New Menopause.

The New Menopause book for what I'm loving post.

It is chocked full of great information that every woman needs to know about her body. It has brought to light so many things that I just accepted as normal and something I just have to suffer through. But that’s not true.

This book is life-changing. I can’t recommend it enough for all women.

5. My new workspace

My new home office/guest room makeover I completed last month has made my workdays so much more enjoyable! I love going into my office every morning now. And am still in awe of this space!

But the piece that takes center stage in this room (literally and beautifully), is this rug! I love the colors in this rug. It adds so much warmth and texture to the space.

Beautiful rug in a guest room.

If you’re in the market for a new rug, this one is well worth checking out. The coloring on it is such that it fits the color palette of most any room.

And the best part, it won’t break the bank. Such a steal for a beautiful, high-quality area rug.

6. Quiet Mornings

If you have kids in school, you know how crazy-busy May can be. With all of the end-of-the-year programs, grad parties and party planning (if you’re at that stage), awards ceremonies and the list goes on…

With it being my 2nd youngest senior year, we are in full plan-mode on so many levels right now. Graduation party planning. Off to college planning. Along with all of the other end of the school year obligations.

So, it feels a bit hectic at times. When life gets a little overwhelming, I cherish my quiet mornings more than ever. While I have to drag myself out of bed most mornings, I am so grateful that I got up and started my day early.

But before I really get into the daily grind, I take care of my body and my mind first. When those are on the right path, my day goes much smoother.

First my treadmill/workout and then onto my Bible and prayer time. The best part of my day, for sure!

A Bible during quiet time.

Oh and I also end this time with a quick game of Wordle, haha!

7. My lunch routine

I am a creature of habit. And when it comes to my lunch, I pretty much eat the same thing every day. Once I find something I like, I crave it every day and just find it easy and so good to just stick with that.

My current trend for lunch is a bowl of strawberries and red grapes mixed with a little dollop of Greek Goddess Honey Vanilla Yogurt and a sprinkling of Granola crunch. It’s SO GOOD!!

Bowl of mixed fruit with yogurt and crunch.

Chocked full of protein too, so it hits the spot and gives me the energy I need for my afternoon.

8. My Veja’s

I went back and forth on whether to splurge on these tennis shoes. I was on the hunt for a good quality leather tennis shoe that was versatile enough to dress up and dress down. I finally took the plunge and ordered the shoes I really wanted-Veja’s. And then I sent them back. 🙂

But, as much as I searched, I couldn’t find another pair of shoes that I loved as much as these. So, I bought them again. And I have to say, they are the best piece of attire I have bought all year.

Wearing them almost every day, I have definitely gotten my money’s worth out of them. And the best part, they have held up so well. Easy to clean (just wipe them off with a damp cloth). And oh-so comfortable! I love these shoes. Were they a little more on the expensive side? Yes. But so worth it!

9. Rock the Block

When I get the opportunity at the end of these crazy-busy days, my favorite way to unwind right now is to watch an episode of Rock the Block. An HGTV competition between 4 designer duos, this show is so good!!

Taking place along the coast of Treasure Island, Florida, the rooms they finish are absolutely stunning…most of the time. There have been a couple spaces that one of the duos has designed that I’m not particularly wild about. But that just makes it more interesting.

If you’re looking for a new TV series, this is one to check out.

Let’s go beyond the design to build something beautiful together!

Until next week,
