Outdoor Fall Decorating Inspiration….
Happy Fall!! The weather here definitely got the memo that the season changed yesterday! Cold, rainy, windy….but tomorrow we’re back to cool temps BUT sunshine too! Much better! Bring on the sweaters, boots, and fuzzy hats! Love this season most of all! It’s the best part of living in the north….we get a taste of all 4 seasons! Just when you’re getting tired of one, the next one comes roaring in. I love it!!
But no matter what your weather is, or where you live, adding some Fall touches to your front porch can give you that cozy Fall feel! To get the creative juices flowing, thought I would bring you some outdoor Fall decorating inspiration….
I have to admit, I had a really hard time pulling out my summer flowers to replace with fall mums. They were really going to town and so beautiful! Here’s a nighttime view….
And a closer look in the daytime….
In the end, I did keep those Dipladenia flowers–Definitely my go-to plant for summer from here on out! These things take off and are gorgeous!
Ok, I digress…summer is behind us, back to the outdoor fall decorating.
Adding the ornamental grass behind this fall display was a great move! Not only does it look great outdoors, we also get to enjoy it indoors. A great backdrop to our dining room window….
I decided to keep things pretty simple on my front porch….kept the ferns from summer, added some corn stalks, a few pumpkins, and a neutral wreath…..
Best decision I made before beginning my outdoor fall decorating, was painting this faux window black! I’ve been wanting to change it up for a while now and thought, no better time than now…before planting new flowers. Here’s a quick shot of the before…
And wow! What a little paint will do! After…..
I love how all of the Fall colors pop….
Now if these mums would just hurry up and bloom. They’re full of buds, so when it happens they’re going to be gorgeous!
While we wait, here’s a quick peak of them in full bloom last year. Beautiful!!
