Happy Fall y’all!! As I write this, sitting outside at my farmhouse table on my deck, it does not feel like fall at all! We are approaching 90 degrees today. But just wait, in a couple days Fall will be here (not leaving the 60’s over the weekend)!! That’s northern Indiana for you! If you don’t like the weather right now, just wait a few minutes and it will change. Last week I shared my Fall Home Tour with you, so this week, let’s step outside and check out all the Outdoor Fall Decor goodies I picked up at the Country Living Fair.
Of the 9 years we have been attending the Country Living Fair in Columbus, Ohio, this one has to go down as the hottest CL weekend ever. I mistakenly wore jeans and man, I was ready to peel those suckers off and call my slightly longer tank top a dress. It was that unbearable!
Although we did find lots of really cool things and beautiful inspiration; like this table setting….
I was pretty good at controlling my spending splurge urge and only got a couple items. These metal crates were a no-brainer at only $10 each!!! They’ll work perfectly for my mudroom lockers I’m finishing up….
But the best find of the weekend wasn’t at the Country Living Fair…We stopped at a roadside market along the way and found the coolest pumpkins (cheap) and the most beautiful mums (also cheap)…Win-Win!!
Which leads us into our Outdoor Fall Decor Home Tour…
These mums though!! HUGE!! And would you believe me that they were only $15 for the larger ones and $7.50 for the “smaller”ones (which are hardly small). Well worth the drive if you live in northeast Indiana/northwest Ohio….
Definitely all for looks and not for functionality, this broken bench (I found at the end of someone’s driveway last year) is not a place to rest. But it is the perfect spot for flowers and outdoor fall decor….
Walking up to the front of the house…
My ferns from the summer continue to hold on and grow wild; however, they are starting to show a little bit of brown…
Love the pops of color with the mums and neutral pumpkins….
Here’s a night time shot too. Of course, it wouldn’t be a photo shoot with out these guys photobombing…
Let’s walk around to the backyard. Over here is where I often have my quiet time in the Summer. I love to sit out here with my Bible and my cup of tea. Those days are becoming fewer and far between as we draw closer to the cold months ahead….
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the tour. I’m heading inside now, before the mosquitos eat me alive. 🙁
Until next time,
Happy Building!!
