Crazy! But I didn’t realize how bittersweet this post would be. The final reveal — Week 6 of the One Room Challenge Mudroom Makeover. I can’t believe we are at the end of this challenge. Thank you so much for following along. When I look back at the transformation of this room, I am amazed…

FINAL REVEAL:

From this….

empty closet space

To this….

This space has been on the To-Do list for WAY too long and I am beyond excited to finally have a functional mudroom. I love that the kiddos have a place to drop all of their stuff. The lockers are truly dreamy and by far my favorite part of this makeover….

These cubbies are really going to kick into full-gear in less than a month. With easy-to-access baskets, the kiddos will have less excuses for not putting away all of their winter gear. Of course, I’m not going to fool myself and think that they’ll all of the sudden take an interest in cleaning up after themselves 😉 ….

The command center is exactly what I had in mind. (Be sure to check out this link too, for the tutorial on how to make this organizational board). I know we will get a lot of mileage out of this area….command center organizational board

I am very pleased with the lighting (from Menards) that I chose for this space….

And bonus–we are one room closer to replacing all of the builder grade trim to craftsman trim, which makes me very happy…

All of this to say, I absolutely love this makeover!! And I’m so excited to share this final reveal with you!!

Room makeovers are my most favorite projects to take on! The joy of seeing the finished product is so exhilarating. It gives me such a feeling of accomplishment. So, of course I won’t stop here. I already have plans for this project to grow out of the mudroom and into the kitchen. My plan: to build a sliding barn door entering the mudroom from the kitchen. I would also like to do a wall treatment (board & batten or shiplap) on the wall that will house the sliding barn door. And all of this is just the beginning. A full kitchen makeover is on the To-Do List too. Another One Room Challenge in my future? I think most definitely!

I would love for you to join me on this journey and maybe even hop on the makeover train with me!! And please share your progress with me! I love to see what you’re tackling.

Until Next Time,

Happy Building, Friend!!
