Hey guys! I’m finally jumping on the Fall Decor train. I know technically we’re still early for fall decorating, but in the blogging world people were hopping on this train way back in the middle of August. Sorry, but I just can’t get the fall decor bug when it’s close to 100 degrees outside.
To be honest, as I shared recently in my Instagram Stories, I struggle with seasonal decorating. Give me a building project or a newly remodeled room to decorate any day over lugging all of the Fall Decor bins up from the storage room and feeling overwhelmed with where to begin. I know–I’m a Home Decor/Building Projects Blogger, so I should love this stuff. But truth—It takes me a hot minute to find my mojo and to finally bite the bullet and just do it! But once I do, I love it! And someone seriously needs to stop me before I rake up the national debt at Target (to just name one culprit). I went in there last night to buy a lampshade…4 shopping bags later I was loading up my truck and finally heading home. Oh my! It’s a problem! But c’mon, I know many of you can relate. 🙂
I mean seriously, who can pass up these awesome wreaths from Hearth & Hand…
These guys wanted to get in on the action too…
Haha! Who am I kidding!? You know how hard it is to pose three dogs for a photo shot??? Teddy was out of there after one picture…
But anyhow, come on in! I would love to show you around…
I found these adorable pumpkins in the Dollar Section at Target. Felt pretty good about that find…
I was kinda loving these Fall Decor pillows too (dollar section for the win–again!)
I went back and forth on this little guy. I had it in my cart, then back on the shelf, then back in my cart, then back on the shelf, til finally I couldn’t pass up the clearance sticker and brought it home with me….
I did repurpose some of my fall decor from last year. Like this bag of corn stalks I picked up at the Country Living Fair last year…
Instead of totally changing up my dining room table centerpiece, I decided to just switch out my summer flowers for corn stalks and some greens. Also picked up a few of these cool pumpkins from Hobby Lobby. Love their wooden texture and the muted colors….
For this little nook area, I’m still on the search for some fall decor foliage to stick in this vase. But for now the hydrangeas will be a good filler….
I’m especially loving how the dining room turned out. It is definitely all decked out in fall decor…
My plan was to go with a little less this year and not overkill it with my fall decor… I think I failed. 🙁
Now onto the front porch…Check in next week to see if I can stick to the plan out there. Haha! I better stay away from Target!!
Until next time,
Happy Building!!
