Wrapping up my year in review series and I saved the best for last. Room makeovers are my most rewarding building projects. I love to see a room go from blah to WOW!! These 4 from my top room makeover projects of 2021 do not disappoint. So, let’s get to it!

I started the year with the huge task of totally revamping our master bedroom. Ever since we moved into our house 14 years ago, I have wanted a hotel-esque kind of bedroom. Fourteen years is a long time to dream and with those dreams came many far-reaching ideas. Case in point: a fireplace! How amazing would a fireplace be in my master bedroom? Well, my dream came true and I have to say-it is beyond AMAZING! If you don’t have a fireplace in your master bedroom, you need one! Here are the plans along with all the other changes I made to this room. The before and after shots are incredible! The Perfect Dreamy Retreat-Master Bedroom Full Tour Part 1

Room Makeover Projects: master bedroom with fireplace, rug, white chair, boho light and Christmas decor

Following my master bedroom remodel, it was time to head outside and cozy up our pergola space. Once again, I had big plans for this space. New furniture being the first and foremost need. I went to the drawing board and drew up plans for a new sofa and chairs along with a coffee table. Throw in a huge rug and some fresh plants and it was really starting to feel like we brought our family room outside. Perfect! We used this space a lot over the summer and look forward to making many more memories in this newfound living space!  Backyard Patio Reveal-New Furniture and Planters

My family room/dining room/foyer (open concept) have been a work in progress all year long. One of the big projects in this space was ripping out our dated corner cabinet and replacing it with floating shelves. Best move ever! I love styling these shelves and the warm texture the stained wood adds to the room is so good! Floating shelves are an easy DIY that can make a statement in any space! Here are the easy-to-follow plans!  Easy How to DIY Floating Shelves Next to Fireplace

Once school started for all of my kiddos this past Fall, I headed over to my parent’s house and did a complete makeover on their laundry room. Wow! The before and after pics of this space are a must-see! Suffice it to say, it was in need of some updating and I think we accomplished that goal!  DIY Laundry Room Makeover-The Reveal!
