Every home needs a statement piece. Something that draws the eye to it and screams WOW!! What is that piece for you, in your home? For me, it’s the giant sliding barn door in our family room AND our farmhouse table in our dining room. I get so many compliments and questions about our farmhouse table. I love to see people’s reactions when I tell them that it is actually a makeover from our original dining room table (Be sure to check back next week for the tutorial on my “dining room table turned farmhouse table” makeover)….
Farmhouse Table Designs
Farmhouse tables can be very easy. Like our kitchen table, I took an old barn door for the table top and attached it to two sawhorses for my legs…a little paint and it’s a beautiful table! So simple, but yet such a conversation piece….

For a couple years now, I’ve been building a farmhouse table for our annual school auction. I love to be a part of this special night. It brings me such joy to see the proceeds going to such a great cause. My table is always a big hit…
